How to clear the Teams cache

Notice: This document will guide a user through how to clear the cache on Teams in Windows.


 

1.) If Teams is still running, right-click the Teams icon in the taskbar, and then select Quit.

2.) Press the Windows logo key    + the "R" key at the same time to open the Run dialog box.

 

3.) Copy and paste the following into the Run dialog box: "%appdata%\Microsoft\Teams". (Do not include the quotation marks)

 

4.) Select "OK".

 

5.) You will be taken to the Teams folder in your file explorer. Press the "Ctrl" key + the "A" key at the same time to select every file in this folder.

 

6.) Right click on one of the selected files, then select "Delete". This will delete all of the files, clearing the Teams cache for you.

 

 

7.) Open the Teams application to start using it again.
