Notice:
This article will guide a user on how to find an email group or distribution list using the Outlook Web app or Desktop App. To perform this action, users must have an active Office 365 account.
1. Go to https://outlook.office.com/mail/ and select "+ New Message"
2. Compose a new message and click on the “To” Field
3. Click the expand arrow on the left menu, then click “Directory.”
4. All of the Highlight distribution lists, users, and contacts will be shown here. You can click on a distribution list to expand it and see the members within, or on an individual user to see their email, phone, to schedule a meeting, or find other information.
5. To email a user or distribution list, simply click the “+” sign next to the display name. You can select as many recipients as you want. When you’re finished, click “Save” at the top left of your screen to continue composing your message.

2. Click the Directory Menu on the left toolbar

Open the Outlook Desktop App.

Click the “Home” Tab and then click “New Mail” to compose a new message.

Click the “To” field button to bring up the Global Address List.

You can double click addresses to add them to the “To” Field. When you’re finished adding addresses, click “Ok” at the bottom of the dialog box to continue composing your message.

Notice that the distribution groups are all at the top of the Global Address List, in addition to their bold type. This is so that you can easily find them. You can also search for specific people at the top of the dialog box.

Open the Outlook Desktop App.

Click the “Home” Tab.

Look to the right of the menu bar and locate the “Find” section. Click on the “Address Book” button.

This will bring up the Global Address List in a more expanded format. Double click to see a user or group’s attributes such as email, members, phone number, etc.
