This article is intended to help guide Highlight staff through the steps of sharing a file that is stored in SharePoint to external individuals.
Process:
- Navigate to the file you would like to share in SharePoint.
- Select the file and click on the "Share" button located above the listed documents.
- A pop-up window will appear, when sharing outside of Highlight click on "People in Highlight Technologies ,LLC with the link can view"
- This will open Link settings, here you can change the settings to "Specific people" and select "Apply" to save any changes. You may also allow editing from this window.
- Enter your recipient's email address, you may add multiple address or add a message if you wish, in the To field and select "Send".
- Your recipients will receive a link in their inbox for the document shared. After clicking on the link, the user must log into their Office365 account . Once they have signed in, they will have access to the document you have shared with them.
