Notice: This document shows how to connect to a display with two methods.

We are trying to make it easier to connect to the projector in the large conference room. Please use these methods from now on

Wireless Connection

Applies to Latitude 5550, 70, and 80 laptops when paired with the TVs in the medium conference room or the projector in the large conference room.

  1. Ensure the display is turned on and the source is set to “Mirroring” or “Wireless”
  2. Press Windows key + K
  3. Select the display you want to connect to (EB3C… is the projector)
  4. Audio and video will now play through the wireless display if the display is capable

HDMI

  1. In the medium conference room: simply power on the displays, select the HDMI cable that corresponds to the display you want, and plug the HDMI cable into the laptop.
  2. In the large conference room: power on the projector, there is a dock which unifies all the devices, simply plug the USB cable from the dock into your laptop[1]. It may take a minute to configure the devices.
  3. If display configuration requires changes, go to settings->system->display->multiple displays. From there, you can change the display type to various options such as mirrored or extended displays.

[1] Video over USB only works with 5570 and 5580 laptops. Contact IT if you need a driver for video over USB. Instead, you can use the dock for peripherals and wireless display for video.
